Children 18:3 – “Children 18:3” Unboxing

I made these videos because I’m tired of searching for them and there never being any.

I’ve also have had this album for a while. Probably two years now. If you seen my Top Albums post then you know this is my favorite album of 2008.

The words I wrote are a broken chain, holding me from the criminally insane, but its gone and there’s no stopping, all my balloons are popping. – Children 18:3

Children 18:3 – Rain’s ‘A Comin’ Preview

Early Thoughts…

Children 18:3, one of the best debuts of 2008, is back in action. It would be an understatement to say the punk rock trio’s sophomore album, entitled Rain’s ‘A Comin’, had high expectations attached to it, but most fortunately, they seem to have been met with flying colors. The Hostetter siblings once again are at the top of their game musically; overall, their approach here does feel more melodic in its construction, and not one track feels like filler. With tracks like the familiar guitar-crunching edginess of “Cover Your Eyes,” the uncharacteristically acoustic-driven “Oh Honestly!” and the powerfully epic “Lost So Long,” enough variety is infused throughout the whole record to keep things interesting. The lyrical content is on par, if not better, than their self-titled debut, as well. Is Rain’s ‘A Comin’ better than its predecessor? It’s too soon to say, but it certainly proves that the trio has exceptional genuine talent that wasn’t a one-time deal. Watch out; Children 18:3 are taking 2010 by storm, and have produced what is unquestionably one of the better albums out this year.
