RE: 5 Will Happen

I am a huge fan of Milla Jovovich. Ever since I seen her in the first Resident Evil.

Now I thought RE: Extinction (3) wasn’t was good as the first two films. But after hearing all the positive RE: Afterlife (4) reviews, it must be a step up.

Resident Evil: Afterlife has the highest gross over the other 3 RE films. And with in 5 days it has already made over $71 million worldwide. Which is higher than what the other 3 films did in 5 days.

In a chat with New York Magazine’s Vulture blog, actress Milla Jovovich, who plays the zombie-slayin’ Alice in the Capcom game-to-film series, vowed that Resident Evil: Afterlife won’t be the last entry in the franchise.

“This new Resident Evil is the first one to ever open at No. 1 worldwide. It’s the biggest movie in the franchise,” said Jovovich. “So we’re definitely going to make another one.”

Jovovich, who is married to the film’s writer-director, Paul W.S. Anderson, said that her hubby-helmer is already kicking around ideas for the fifth installment: “We’ve been talking to a lot of fans on Twitter and stuff, so it’s probably going to be one of the first movies where we really talk to fans to see what they want, and what characters they want to see. It’s going to be a more interactive process.”

  1. I don’t think I’ve actually seen any of the Resident Evil movies…at least, I haven’t actually paid attention to them. Pretty sure my DH has watched them a time or two, but I was probably reading and not really watching them. Guess I should give them a try.

I saw the trailer for Resident Evil: Afterlife in 3D at the IMAX theater, and I have to admit, it looked really great.
