Write This Down (Band)

Posted in Music with tags , , , , , , on June 11, 2010 by crow237

Write This Down had only two independent EP’s before Tooth & Nail gave them a full record. Write This Down’s self-titled debut album is pretty solid. And is my second favorite album of the year, so far.

Just like Children 18:3, Write This Down has made a pretty big impact in christian music. With a rock, punk rock, pop rock genre, with a little bit of screaming.

Listen to the album’s first single, “Renegade,” and if you didn’t like it, you still may find something on Write This Down that you do like. “Center of Attention” is a great song as well.

Children 18:3 – Rain’s ‘A Comin’ Preview

Early Thoughts…

Children 18:3, one of the best debuts of 2008, is back in action. It would be an understatement to say the punk rock trio’s sophomore album, entitled Rain’s ‘A Comin’, had high expectations attached to it, but most fortunately, they seem to have been met with flying colors. The Hostetter siblings once again are at the top of their game musically; overall, their approach here does feel more melodic in its construction, and not one track feels like filler. With tracks like the familiar guitar-crunching edginess of “Cover Your Eyes,” the uncharacteristically acoustic-driven “Oh Honestly!” and the powerfully epic “Lost So Long,” enough variety is infused throughout the whole record to keep things interesting. The lyrical content is on par, if not better, than their self-titled debut, as well. Is Rain’s ‘A Comin’ better than its predecessor? It’s too soon to say, but it certainly proves that the trio has exceptional genuine talent that wasn’t a one-time deal. Watch out; Children 18:3 are taking 2010 by storm, and have produced what is unquestionably one of the better albums out this year.

Joker in Batman 3

Director Christopher Nolan has said that The Joker will not be returning in Batman 3 or any other subsequent bat-films as long as he’s helming the franchise.

Nolan is not 100% confirmed for a return to the franchise as a director, but all signs point to Batman 3 having “A Film By Christopher Nolan” credit when it arrives in theaters July 20, 2012.

I hate when Nolan says “I don’t know if I’m coming back”. He acts just like Brett Favre. Because after Batman Begins, didn’t he say over and over “I don’t know if I’m coming back”. Your coming back, you always will.

But I agree with leaving The Joker out. If Heath Ledger was still alive and didn’t want to return, then replacing him would be ok.
