New Demon Hunter Album

Posted in Music on August 29, 2009 by crow237

My first metal album was the 2007 Demon Hunter album Storm The Gates of Hell (there best CD yet). I first heard DH in 05 on 88.7 RadioU. It was there song “One Thousand Apologies”. After that song I pretty much fell in love with the band. I was going to buy their live album and their second live album but never did. I really hope to buy this one.

This is copied from the Official Demon Hunter web site,

Greetings. As many of you may already know, we recently announced some news regarding the future of Demon Hunter at our Huntour shows. Firstly, we would like to officially announce some lineup changes that we’ve recently undergone and will undergo in the coming months. My brother, Don, whom I started this band with in 2001, has decided to leave the band due to increasing priorities with both his home life (not least of which are his two amazing kids, my niece and nephew), and his constant workload with the design firm that he and I continue to undertake together, Invisible Creature. I’m saddened to see Don leave, as we have shared so many great times together in the band, written some amazing songs together, played in bands together since we were teenagers, and built every aspect of this band from the beginning with a shared vision. However, Don’s decision to move on comes with a deep understanding on my part. As he told me recently, he will continue to be “Demon Hunter’s biggest fan,” as he continues to watch the band progress. We, as a band, and more specifically I, would like to give Don my most heartfelt “thank you” for everything he has contributed to this band from day one. We are forever grateful for the passion, vision, artistry and talent that you brought this band. You will be missed. We love you, and wish you the very best with every future endeavor. Additionally, Ethan Luck, who has been with Demon Hunter since The Triptych (2005) has also decided to leave the band as his responsibilities with Relient K (in which he plays drums) continue to escalate. Ethan played a very essential role in recording and performing on both The Triptych and Storm The Gates Of Hell, and his professionalism and friendship are a vital part of what Demon Hunter has become over the last 4 years. We would like to thank Ethan for all of his hard work, dedication and friendship. His contribution, in both craft and spirit have helped us become who we are as a band. We also wish Ethan all the best with whatever may lie ahead. Patrick Judge, who filled in for Ethan during the Stronger Than Hell Tour is now an official member of Demon Hunter. We are very pleased to welcome Patrick into the fold. His skill, devotion and drive have already proven to be instrumental in the continual evolution of the band and we’re excited to see what the future holds with his inclusion. Last, but not least, we have been busy working on material for our 5th album, which we will be entering the studio to record in October. At this point, I would say about 90% of the music has been written, and probably about 40% of the lyrics/melodies. As clich√© as it can be to say, the album is shaping up to be heavier, faster, and more aggressive than previous Demon Hunter material (and there might be a ballad or two in there for good measure). As always, we’re doing our best to maintain the classic DH sound, all while introducing some new and exciting ideas to keep things exciting. I’m extremely proud of what we have so far, and I can’t wait to enter the studio and hear it come to life! Stay tuned in the coming months for additional news regarding the new album! Thank you, everyone, for your continued support. -Ryan Clark & Demon Hunter

Latest Saw VI Poster

It is very different from every other SAW poster. So that is good but boxing gloves are dumb to go with. Human hands make up for it.

A Perfect Getaway Review

Let The Games Begin.

Plot: Two pairs of lovers (Zahn & Jovovich, Olyphant & Sanchez) on a Hawaiian vacation discover that psychopaths are stalking and murdering tourists on the islands.

Cliff and Cydney (Zahn & Jovovich) are on there honeymoon in Hawaii. Then they discover that someone on the island isn’t who they say they are.

Steve Zahn is a funny actor but plays a more serious role. It wasn’t until the end that I thought he did a good job.

Milla Jovovich I think is a a great actress. In this film she does a crappy job, very annoying. I was wanting good acting, like her in the Resident Evil series.

Good acting to everyone except Milla.

The trailer says you will be talking about the twist ending all summer but you wont. I seen it coming. I liked it to a point. Nothing ever happens through out the film. 97 minutes long and nothing goes on until an hour and ten minutes in. So it is boring until then.

Rated R for graphic violence, language including sexual references and some drug use.

Underworld 4

It was announced that a new trilogy in the Underworld franchise would be made. Underworld 4 is set for a 2011 release. The film is supposed to be a sequel to the Rise of the Lycans and a prequel to the other films. Kate Beckinsale has said that playing a character for two films is enough. Rumors have said Kate will return, so who knows.

Scream Queens Season 2

I didn’t see this coming. First season Tanedra Howard won and got a role in SAW VI. Well its back and another woman will win a role in the upcoming SAW films.

SAW VIII is all I can say.

Funny People Review

This film is a…waste of time.

Plot: When seasoned comedian George Simmons learns of his terminal, inoperable health condition, his desire to form a genuine friendship cause him to take a relatively green performer under his wing as his opening act.

Adam Sandler has not done a funny movie since Click.¬† I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry did make me laugh but it wasn’t that funny. Anyway, it seems Adam just used this movie to drop a hundred or two hundred F bombs. I did like how Adam and Leslie hated each other in Big Daddy but were in love in this film. Good acting there, good acting through out.

Its the same director that brought us The 40 Year Old Virgin and Knocked Up.

And whats with teaming up with Seth Rogen and his gang? The only time Seth Rogen was funny was in The Pineapple Express.

This film is like two movies in one. It can be a serious film and a comedy (one of those comedy’s that we don’t really laugh at).

If you like F bombs and sexual humor (mostly about male parts) then this film is for you.

Rated R for language and crude sexual humor throughout, and some sexuality.

Anna and Stephen Engaged!

Posted in Celebrities, TV Series on August 6, 2009 by crow237

True Blood stars, Anna Paquin (Sookie) and Stephen Moyer (Bill) are engaged. Which is really cool. They have been dating since the series pilot.

But how cool is that, date on the show and engaged in real life.
